I love that passage too. It is from Isaiah 49:16 and reads: “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.” (NIV).

They really do have a direct connection to God. Just think about it – animals do not have filters, they don’t hold a grudge and they love with an open heart. Not such a bad role model, is it?

Great thoughts. Have you read the scripture that says He writes our names on His hand? I read it about two months ago and I may not have quoted it correctly and I can’t remember where it is…maybe we can google it!! It was in a blog that was about tattoos – they were saying God had our names tattooed on His hand.

I have finally realized that comparison to others is really unfair…to myself and to the other person. I can never be the same as someone else, and they can never be like me.

So what’s the point of comparison except to make you feel good or bad? The trouble is that when you feel good, someone else feels bad. When you feel bad, someone else feels good. No one wins in that game.

This was a marvelous piece. The lesson its words convey are so palatable when expressed by the reality of a true story. How many of us …in a variety of circumstances ..can relate to hurting ourselves in this way – then wonder why we feel so inadequate. Thanks for another insightful message.
